The Great Sea is calling, and only the bravest captains will uncover its greatest secrets. In Voyage to the Triforce, you'll sail across uncharted waters, discover mysterious islands, collect legendary treasures, and compete against rival explorers in a fast-paced adventure inspired by the spirit of classic seafaring quests. Every journey is different as the modular game board, powerful item cards, and unexpected encounters create new stories with every playthrough. Gather your crew, chart your course, and become the first captain to recover the three legendary Triforce Shards. Adventure, strategy, and discovery await beyond the horizon.
Voyage to the Triforce is a fast-paced competitive exploration board game for 2–4 players that captures the adventurous spirit of sailing across the Great Sea. Players captain their own ships, explore mysterious islands, gather treasure, outsmart rivals, and search for the three legendary Triforce Shards. The game is designed to be easy to learn while finishing in about 30 minutes.
Explore the sea, collect all three Triforce Shards, earn treasure, and finish with the most Victory Points when the final round ends.
· 1 Starting Island Tile
· 20 Sea/Island Tiles
· 40 Item Cards
· 20 Encounter Cards
· 3 Triforce Shard Tokens
· 30 Rupee Tokens
· 4 Player Ship Tokens
· 1 Six-sided Die (d6)
· Damage & Victory Point Tokens
1. Place the Starting Island in the center of the table.
2. Shuffle the Sea Tiles into a face-down stack.
3. Shuffle the Item and Encounter decks separately.
4. Place the three Triforce Shards nearby.
5. Each player chooses a ship, takes 3 Rupees, and draws 1 Item Card.
6. Randomly choose the first player.
Each player performs two actions on their turn:
· Sail to an adjacent tile.
· Explore a face-down Sea Tile.
· Search an island for treasure or an item.
· Trade at a shop.
· Challenge another player on the same tile.
When two players battle, each secretly selects one Item Card (optional), then both roll a d6. Add any bonuses from items. The higher total wins and chooses one reward: steal 1 Rupee, steal a random Item Card, or push the losing ship back one space.
Special islands and encounter cards may reveal one of the three Triforce Shards. Players must discover all three during the game. When the final shard is claimed, every other player takes one final turn before scoring.
• 5 Victory Points per Triforce Shard
• 1 Victory Point for every 3 Rupees
• 1 Victory Point per Treasure Item
Tie Breaker: Most Rupees remaining, then least damage.
This project focuses on creating a light, competitive exploration game with meaningful choices, quick player interaction, and the sense of adventure that makes The Wind Waker memorable, while introducing original mechanics and pacing suitable for a tabletop experience.
